Prelude -- my take on Annual Conference - voting (mind-numbing for the most part - except we voted that membership in the UM Church should be open to everyone, "All Means All," dancing, and the ordination of David King, who grew up in this church. A truly sacred and holy moment.

I have a story to tell you today - a story about a broken woman, a desperate father, and me. The story begins thirteen years ago, when my daughters Gwenyn and Libby, were six and four, and my son Jacob, was two. And they were all diagnosed with Fifth's Disease.
