Sr. High
Choir Sr. High Youth are invited to participate in The Choral Union. This choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings and sings at the 11:15 a.m. Traditional Sanctuary Service.
Bell Choir Sr. High youth are invited to participate in bell choirs. They rehearse on Tuesday evenings.
Retreats happen throughout the year in various locations around Oregon.
Church Camps through the United Methodist Church happen all year long, though most youth camps are in the summer. Camps take place all over Oregon and Idaho. To find out more about camping, go to www.gocamping.org.
Mission Projects also happen throughout the year.
- Thanksgiving Lunch held at First United Methodist Church on Thanksgiving Day. This meal is for those in the community of Salem who have no place to go for Thanksgiving. Helpers prepare and serve the meal on Thanksgiving Day.
- 12 Days of Christmas each year the community of First UMC take on a needy family and give them Christmas in a very special way.
- Summer Mission Project Every Summer the Sr. High youth go on a mission project. Past locations have been Puerto Rico and Honduras as well as within the United States. The San Francisco neighborhoods was the most recent trip from June 18-25, 2010.
- Many other small mission projects come up through the year. Any youth involved in the youth group on a regular basis will know about these projects and be invited to participate.

For Both Mid and Senior High
Sacred Space PM Wednesdays from 6-8 pm in the youth center. Gathering from 6 to 6:30 p.m.; dinner from 6:30 to 7 p.m.; message, activities and discussion, 7 to 8 p.m. (Call the church office for the Summer Schedule - special activites are planned!)
